NOTES: In 2009, I thought it would be fun to pay homage to the painter Francisco Goya by "remixing" his masterpiece, "Saturn Devouring His Son". I decided to focus on Goya because I'm a fan of his work in general, and I specifically choose "Saturn Devours…" because of the impact the painting had on me when I was first introduced to it in an art history class.
In 2010, I decided to pay homage to another artist whose work had a major impact in my personal development as an artist, and my general appreciation for the arts. This year, I chose to remix Francis Bacon, and his masterpiece, "Figure with Meat".
